That dark night

That dark night falls in,
Windows are closed with the drapes drawn,
Doors bolted,
Heating alight to protect against bitter ice setting in.
Familiar faces,
Their loving embraces,
Not a more treasured place,
A crowd in the abode,
So why do you feel alone?
House is filled with light and personality,
It's still dark out of your eyes,
A dimmer switch only for you.
Voices are in a peaceful motion,
Yet you feel commotion,
Isolated condemnation,
Emotions are broken.
Tearful yet tearless,
Tears should be running down the face like the rain crashing against the window pain,
Instead the face runs dry,
Nor a resemblance of a broken cry,
Passing thoughts for that disappearing twinkle that used to fill the eye.
Your soft temperament and nice nature is replaced with the anger of an ogre,
Invisible to see,
Fraudulent joy sits on your posture,
A half witted smile the face holds,
A forever unruly fronting of an internal mans worn,
The depression's surface is peaceful but the inside is distorted and torn.
The dark night falls in,
Windows are closed with the drapes drawn.
